| Bear Medic Corporation was established in 1960 as an affiliate plant for
Citizen Watch Co.,Ltd., one of the world leading timepiece manufactures,
and has achieved steady performance by accumulating technology, as well
as streamlining and automating an ideal environment for producing precision
instruments. In 2001, we acquired ISO9001 certification and strive to provide safe and reliable products. After a name change in May 2002 to "Bear Medic Corporation", we made a fresh start as a company focused on the medical sector. We serve both domestic and overseas businesses, and are a general medical suture material manufacturer. Making full use of high-processing technology, we develop numerous microsurgical suture needles, vessel clips, cardiac surgical suture needles, and suture needles for plastic and ophthalmic surgery in our Medical Suture Material Department. In addition, we develop extremely accurate medical titanium products in our Implant Material Department. We wish to contribute to better madical care by introducing original products as a manufacturer with R&D performance. |

| 1960 | Kyowa Precion Instruments Corporation was established in Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture and initially produced wristwatches as an affiliate of Citizen Watch Co, Ltd. |
| 1969 | As business expanded, a new factory was opened in Daigo-machi, Kuji-gun,
Ibaraki Prefecture. |
| 1983 | The Medical Division was established at the Daigo factory, began developing surgical suture products, and obtained a medical-device-manufacturing license. |
| 1985 | The Medical Division moved to Hongo, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo and began selling BEAR products in Japan, the U.S.A, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Middle East. |
| 1990 | The Medical Division relocated its office in the same district for sales expansion. |
| 1995 | A series of original titanium implant products known as the "Screw
Plate System" was launched in the domestic market. |
| 1996 | A new factory and office began operation at the Daigo site. |
| 1998 | The Higashidate and the Daigo manufacturing sites are consolidated into
the Precision Equipment Division. A new factory producing state-of-the-art timepieces began operation at the Daigo site. |
| 2001 | The main plant obtained an ISO9001 certificate, which is an international standard for quality management, for medical device, implant material, and wristwatch production. The titanium "Bone Extension Device, AVD System" was launched. |
| 2002 | To enable further expansion, the company changed its name from Kyowa Presicion Instruments Corporation to Bear Medic Corporation. The office moved to Yushima, Bunkyo-ku,Tokyo for sales expansion. |
| 2004 | We acquired ISO9001 and ISO13485 certificates. |
| 2005 | We acquired CE certificates for the nylon suture needle and disposable vessel clip. |
| 2011 | We introduced the Coated Synthetic Absorbable Braided Polyglycolic Acid Suture（Surgisorb）, Synthetic Absorbable Polydioxanone Monofilament Sutures（Monostinger）, and Purse String Suture with Straight Needle（Bear FLEX Needle） |
